Worship Ministries

Audio Ministry - The Audio Ministry provides audio support for worship services and other church events. All sermons plus special events are recorded and archived at Prestoncrest and on the Prestoncrest website. These recordings are made available to all members and guests by download or CD.

Baptismal Assistance Ministry - The Baptismal Assistance Ministry supports the baptismal process, with activities ranging from unlocking the preparation room, assisting with changing/fitting of baptismal clothes, performing guidance/assistance when needed for the actual baptism, cleaning the preparation rooms, washing the baptismal garments and towels, and maintaining the preparation rooms.

Communion Ministry - The Communion Ministry plans and conducts the service of the Lord's Supper during each worship service.

Greeters Ministry - The Greeters Ministry displays a Christ-like friendliness to both visitors and members and provides visitors with information about Prestoncrest.

Homebound Communion Ministry - The Homebound Communion Ministry ensures that all homebound church members are able to share in the communion meal each week. The ministry is coordinated through the Bible classes.

Information Center Ministry - The Information Center Ministry provides an easily accessible and highly visible area where visitors and new members are welcomed and provided with directions and general information about Prestoncrest.

Internet/Streaming Ministry - The Internet Ministry provide a website that reaches out to the community and the world by offering access to worship services via web streaming and presents information about Prestoncrest and its ministry works in a visitor friendly format; reaches in to the Prestoncrest body by providing detailed information about ministry, class, mission and outreach work and activities.

Music Ministry - The Music Ministry coordinates many special singing opportunities throughout the year, which include a Christmas chorus, as well as children’s groups for both TLC and Vacation Bible School.

Preaching Ministry - The Preaching Ministry focuses on the public proclamation of God's Word. It works to present both sides of our congregational vision, "Passion for God … Compassion for People" be developing strategies - reaching up, reaching in, and reaching out.

Ushers Ministry - The Ushers Ministry facilitates the distribution of bulletins and other printed info, retrieval of communion & contribution trays, and seating of latecomers, newcomers, guests, and visitors during and prior to worship services.

Worship Ministry - Our Worship Ministry, consisting of many volunteers and staff members, strives to ensure that our times of worship glorify the Lord, and positively impact every day for the rest of our lives. It includes both our regualr Sunday worship services as well as our new Wednesday night evening of praise in Plano, called Impact.
